Farewell Florence Henderson, Forever You'll Live In Our Memories

On November 24, the iconic matriarch personality of the TV series "The Brady Brunch" passed away at the age 82. The news was confirmed by her manager Kayla Pressman, and her publicist David Brokaw.

She died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles from heart failure. She had been hospitalized the previous day and her death shocked the whole world.

Brokaw said, "She was quite active until she started not feeling well several days ago." He added, "It was felt that she would just bounce back from it."

Her manager said  that she was the most caring and vibrant woman she has ever known. With teary eyes, she added that Henderson never had an unkind word about anyone.

Florence Agnes Henderson was born on February 14, 1934, in Dale, Indiana. She was the youngest of Joseph and Elizabeth Henderson's 10 children. She was a wonderful mother of four children, Barbara, Joseph, Robert, and Lizzie. She is also a kind grandmother of five.

She was married to Ira Bernstein in 1956 and got divorced in 1985. In 1987, she married hypotherapist, Dr. John George Kappas. Her spouse died in 2002.

Henderson was one of the versatile actresses in Hollywood. She was a great singer for six decades. She was Carol Brady on the ABC sitcom The Brady Brunch aired from 1969 to 1974. She was also featured in The Brady Brunch Hour in 1977, The Brady Brides in 1981, and The Bradys in 1990 where she sang the third version of the show's theme song.

Three days before her death, she attended the Dancing with the Stars in support of her former on-screen daughter Maureen McCormick.

For the record, she was the first frequent female guest host on The Tonight Show during both Jack Paar and Johnny Carson's era. She received the Gracie Awards in 2008 and 2012.
