Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry Call It Quits After Dating for 10 Months
After ten months, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Orlando Bloom and multi-awarded pop singer Katy Perry placed a period on their relationship. Reportedly, both parties claimed that the other was the one to throw the towel first when the news of their break-up exploded last Tuesday.
According to In Weekly, Bloom told his friends that he wasn't ready for marriage and children. Another source said that it was Perry who ended the relationship because "they were on different life paths," and that it was "time to move on".
Orlando Bloom Afraid of Another Marriage?
The popstar once hinted during a birthday party last Oct. 29, 2016 that the couple had been previously talking about having a family. The singer allegedly had been telling people that 2017 is her year to become a mother. Could this be what made the dauntless pirate back off from the relationship, resulting in the controversial break-up?
Perry once admitted to Us Weekly that children have become a big concern for her especially when she helped deliver her sister's child just recently. "I don't even have one, but I see it in my sister's kids and just how much nurturing and love they need," she said. Furthermore, she had been around children a lot more often, even with Bloom's five-year-old son from his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
Not long after the split announcement, Bloom had been spotted on a lunch date with an unidentified brunette amid frantic news of the break-up. Has Bloom found a new love interest immediately after the break-up?
The Romance That Wilted
Bloom and Perry's high-profile romance started when the two were seen at a Golden Globes after-party hanging out together early this year. The two became close and went on dates together. They went paddle boarding, and even went to Halloween parties in their costumes as then presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Many Hollywood couples split and make up. Is this relationship officially over or will fans see them together again? After all, this wasn't the first time the two had a major argument. Earlier this November, the two couldn't decide where to spend Christmas. Bloom wanted to take Perry back with him to London to meet his mother, but the singer wanted to spend it with her parents in California. Is this break-up just a short cool-off and will they really spend the upcoming holidays apart?
