The curtains are closing on "Black Sails" Season 4 as it premieres its final season next year, promising more ambitious take on the world of Pirates and the sea.
"Black Sails" Season 3 ends with the English controlling Nassau with Woodes Rogers and Eleanor. But, according to an exclusive clip starring Hannah New, Toby Schmitz, Luke Arnold, Toby Stephens, and Jessica Parker Kennedy, "Black Sails" Season 4 will not be ending without Flint and John Silver taking on crucial roles in the series. The upcoming season will showcase a huge production complete with detailed costumes, accurate ships, large sets, and historic towns. There will also be more under-the-sea scenes that proved difficult especially for John Silver. The ship, town, and the entire set is bigger than ever in the season finale.
In the "Black Sails" final season, the partnership between Flint and John Silver is crucial than ever, which is centric to the entire 10-episode season. The premiere will showcase a lot of action-packed war scenes. The cast reveals that the war will be the focal point of the final season, and fans can expect intriguing scenes right from the very beginning.
As Eleanor and Max try to integrate themselves into society, they will be playing more conventional roles. They gain more authority and influence with the regime in the fourth season. But this comes with no repercussions as in "Black Sails" Season 4, they will be facing struggles with regards to the society's restrictions with gender norms, and another conflict.
By the end of "Black Sails" Season 4, the cast reveals in an interview that fans will figure out why the fourth season had to be the last, revealing that the show has to have consequences, and these consequences had to be permanent. This makes the final season really "hot" from start to finish. While the series is based on the "Treasure Island" book and the element of it is still there, it just comes with twists and turns.
The final "Black Sails" Season 4 will air January 29, 2017, on Starz.
