Heads up, Danganronpa fans! Monokuma is still out for vengeance! Now, he's back to deliver more despair with Danganronpa Another Episode heading to PS4 in North America.

That's right! Danganronpa's publisher, NIS America announced that they will be bringing Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls to Playstation 4. The game will be available in both digital and physical copies. NIS America will also feature a limited edition of the game. The limited edition of Another Episode includes:

  • 32-page hardbound art book

  • 15 track original soundtrack with jewel case

  • Collector's box

  • Warriors of Hope 4.5" Diameter Tie Clip

  • Warriors of Hope Pin

  • Kurokuma Tie

  • Kurokuma Eyepatch

The game tells the story of Makoto Naegi (the main protagonist of the first game, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc)'s little sister, Komaru Naegi. It takes place between the events of the first game and the second game. Komaru was trapped inside an apartment complex, with no knowledge of what happened to the world. She is forced to flee with the help of Byakuya Togami who gives her a hacking gun to hack the robots and aid her escape. Along the way, she met another one of the survivors of the School Life Mutual Killing game, the Super Highschool Level Bookworm, Touko Fukawa. Fukawa teamed up with Komaru and uses a stun gun to control her other personality, Genocider Sho (Genocider Jack in NIS' translations).

The game now sports a third-person adventure game, unlike its predecessors who uses a visual novel style of game. Using the hacking gun, Komaru can aim and shoot the Monokuma robots that attack them. The gun uses different bullets making Komaru do various actions with them such as attacking, controlling them, scan their surroundings and activate machinery. Her companion, Fukawa can use her stun gun to switch to her other personality. Once the charge for the stun gun is complete, players can take control of Genocider Jack who uses scissors as her primary weapon. Upgrades on their weaponry can also be done by collecting Monocoins from fallen enemies.

The game was first released on Vita last year in September and is dubbed as a spin-off to the Danganronpa series. The PS4 release is slated for 2017.
