Xiaomi Mi Mix vs. Huawei Mate 9: War Of The Phablets With Premium Specs, Who Is The Winner?
Two phablets of almost similar specifications from premium Chinese manufacturers have been launched recently. The devices are "Xiaomi Mi Mix" and "Huawei Mate 9" with excellent specs and good performance. A comparison of both the devices would give an understanding of its performance, specs etc., and would help the potential customers to choose the right one.
Xiaomi Mi Mix is a 6.4-inch phablet with bezel-less screen and the basic model comes for around $510. There is a premium model with gold embossing and it is available for sale at around $590. The Huawei Mate 9 is a phablet with 5.9-inch size and the base model is prized at around $750.

While the base model of Xiaomi Mi Mix is coming with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, the premium version is coming with 6 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The phone is coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 with 2x2.35 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo quad core processor. Huawei Mate 9 is coming with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, SD card slot is given for storage expansion. The octa-core processor of the phone is carrying its own chipset named Huawei 960 Kirin and has a Mali-G71 graphics processor.
While comparing the camera, Xiaomi Mi Mix is coming with 16 MP primary camera with dual LED flash. The front camera of the phone is 5 MP. Huawei Mate 9 floats a dual lens rear camera and it takes images at 20 MP with dual LED flash. Quite similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix, Huawei Mate 9 also record videos at 4K resolution. The selfie camera of the phone is 8 MP.
The display of Xiaomi Mi Mix is IPS LCD and with a resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels and 362 ppi pixel density, it plays 4K videos. Huawei Mate 9 also comes with IPS LCD but the resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels with 373 ppi pixel density can only play 2K videos. The battery of Xiaomi Mi Mix is a non-removable 4400 mAh and for Huawei Mate 9 it is 4000 mAh.

While coming to misses, Xiaomi Mi Mix camera is not an impressive one, especially selfie camera is awful. While coming to Huawei Mate 9, the design of the phone doesn't look great and the price of the device is high comparing to Xiaomi Mi Mix.
The verdict should go in favor of Huawei Mate 9 with the total performance, but people who love larger devices or interested in price factor can look for Xiaomi Mi Mix. Huawei is planning to introduce its phone is U.S. soon, but Xiaomi has not made any decision to make a U.S. launch yet.
