Pokemon Sun and Moon's release date is nearing and people are hyped about it. Some people are so hyped about it that they managed to obtain an illegal copy of the game. Now, before you go and brag about getting a copy earlier than the others, you might want to think twice because Nintendo is bringing out their ban hammer.

It's not surprising for these illegal copies to roam around the internet. So many information about Pokemon Sun and Moon has been released that made hacking easier for pirates. These hackers hacked their way in and managed to obtain a copy of the games, which they posted on the internet. As fans who can't wait for the official release, some of them went on ahead of the others and downloaded the game illegally onto their Nintendo 3DS units. Theses files are exactly the same as the official games; players can battle each other online and trade Pokemon with each other.

Now, there are reports that those who previously accessed the games cannot access the Nintendo e-Shop. It seems that Nintendo finally took action to the piracy circulating the internet. They banned all online access to players who illegally downloaded Pokemon Sun and Moon into their 3ds systems. Yes, all online access. That means you can't buy games online or even re-download all of your previous games! The only way you can access the online features again is to buy a new 3DS unit.

An error code will appear on your unit, indicating that you have been banned. The image states that Nintendo has restricted your usage of the online features have appeared on some of the players. Because of this, players are now phoning the company, questioning this error code.

Some of them try to work their way around the ban but no luck. Some people find the reactions of banned players rather amusing.

Got banned using Wonder Trade on Pokemon Moon. Be careful.

Nintendo released a statement regarding this matter via Polygon. A representative of the company informed that using an unauthorized copy of the game would result in banning from the use of Nintendo's online feature immediately.

So if you managed to grab hold of the copy of the game, do yourself a favor and just delete it. It'll save you a lot of trouble. Oh, and GameStop will host a Midnight Launch on the release date of the game.
