The selection of pickup trucks has been “picking up” in the new millennia. But next year, the choices will be more exciting with new state-of-the-art pick-up trucks.

Business Insider rounded up some of the modernistic automobiles that are coming in 2017. Here are the pickup trucks that made it to their list.

Ford F-Series Super Duty Pickup

FoxNews reported that this pickup truck has been named the ‘Truck of Texas’ of this year. The all-new truck featuring all-aluminium body is the best in class in terms of payload and tow ratings. It has a 360-degree camera, trailer backup assist, adaptive cruise control, as well as 440hp per 925 lb.-ft. and 6.7 liters of turbocharged 6-cylinder diesel.

GM Canyon Denali

With a maximum trailer tow rating of 7,000 pounds, this pickup truck has 7-inch diagonal touchscreen radio that features heated steering wheel and 4G WiFi connectivity for a maximum of seven devices. It has semi-autonomous features as well, like forward collision and lane departure alert system.

Toyota Tacoma

Toyota Tacoma, on the tech viewpoint, has JBL speakers, navigation, and other downloadable apps. While the pick-up truck doesn't employ a sophisticated infotainment system, CNet reports, the 7-inch touchscreen is easy to use and organized. However, it has keyless entry, rear park assist and cross traffic warning systems, wireless charging, and blind spot monitors.

Mercedes-Benz X-Class (Stylish Explorer)

While the Mercedes-Benz X-Class pick-up truck will not be for sale in the United States, the Stylish Explorer version of the pick-up truck will. It comes with a loop LED stripe on the tailed front with 22-inch wheels. The X-Class concept, on the other hand, comes with big off-road tires with its own fire extinguisher, Business Insider reports. The report also states that the Mercedes has driver assistance systems that have radar and ultrasound sensors as well as cameras.

Dodge Ram 1500

The classic Dodge Ram pick-up truck has been updated with its 10,030-pound tow rating. It has a slightly bigger 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen that allows drivers to view back-up and cargo cameras. It has the standard rear park assist system and an optional rear backup camera.
