"Sherlock season 4" will make everyone love the latest news of the confirmation of the first two episodes - 'The Six Thatchers' and the 'The Lying Detective'. It was also confirmed that the first episode will air on January 1, 2017.

The teaser of "Sherlock" Season 4 was already out and was very intriguing. The trailer started off with Moriarty, the nemesis of "Sherlock Holmes" who was confirmed to be dead in Season 3, and some footage of hospital staff wheeling out a body. The short teaser gave out the feeling that the new episode will be grim.

Since the last episode of "Sherlock" Season 3, viewers are left wanting more of the 'comedic' or 'humorous' scenes. "Sherlock" Season 1 and 2 gave the viewers the perfect balance between the mysterious gloomy scene with the humorous scenes but the change of time period during the last episode ,'The Abominable Bride' ,tipped a little over the serious tone of the show.

Some reports stated that in "Sherlock" Season 4 the eldest brother of Sherlock Holmes, Sherrinford, will be the focus of some big revelations in the show. The "Sherlock" fans are not just excited because of another genius character but because everyone is expecting Tom Hiddleston to appear as Sherrinford. The 'Loki' of Thor and Avengers as the eldest brother of Sherlock? No wonder the news about this never died down.

Benedict Cumberbatch, "Sherlock Holmes" of Sherlock Series, answered the question about Tom Hiddleston joining "Sherlock" Season 4 as Sherrinford and he said that it is just a mere speculation according to an article released. So far the information that is already clear according to reports  is that Toby Jones will enter the series as the new villain Culverton Smith and Sacha Dhawan that will play the character AJ will also join the series.
