Kid Cudi and Drake Feud Update: Kanye West Joins In the Fight!
Rapper Kid Cudi broke his silence after a month and launched a counterattack on social media against fellow music artist Drake who mocked Cudi's mental issues. While on rehabilitation, Cudi wrote "Say it to [my] face p&*^y. You think it's a game." His Twitter post ended with "I wanna see you say it to my face. I'll be out soon. Promise."
Their feud was triggered by Cudder's September 2016 accusations that Kanye West and Drake used ghostwriters for their songs. The "Pursuit of Happiness" rapper warned the two that "The days of the f--kery are over." Cudi and West collaborated on their past hit tracks including "Erase Me," All Lights Off," and "Father Stretch My Hands."
Drake's song "Two Birds, One Stone" attacks Cudi's mental health problems. The song made references to Cudi's 2009 album, "Man on the Moon." One of the song's lines highlighted the phases Cudi is going through.
Cudi submitted himself to rehab due to depression and suicidal urges. He posted an emotional statement on Facebook, explaining that his move is not only for himself, his family, his daughter, and his fans. Cudi's next album "Passion, Pain & Demon" has been delayed following his move to check into the facility.
Kanye West has mellowed down since the social media pat with Cudi. Entertainment Tonight reported that West, during a show in Houston, Texas, praised Cudi as "the most influential artist of the last 10 years." He added that he considers Cudi as his brother and wished that he is doing well.
Cudi became popular as a protégé of Kanye West whom the latter worked with on the songs "808s" and "Heartbreak." His debut album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" blossomed his music career. Cudi also appeared on the HBO series "Making It in America."
