Janet Jackson in Full Islamic Dress since Announcing Her Pregnancy
Pregnant Janet Jackson made her first public appearance, after announcing her pregnancy, in her full Islamic dress. The singer is believed to have been converted into Muslim after her marriage with Wissam Al Manna, a Qatari billionaire.
In a photo that circulated the online world, the couple looks happy as they stroll around London earlier this week. They walked hand-in-hand as they hunt for baby clothes before stopping for a lunch at a nearby food joint.
Janet Jackson will become a mom for the first time at the age of 50. Several weeks ago, she officially confirmed her pregnancy rumor in an interview made by People magazine, wherein she posed for a picture with her growing baby bump. Speculations of her pregnancy first came out April of this year, after she postponed her tour. But the star, who is known for being notoriously private in the recent years, waited until October before she can confirm the news.
Janet bragged the title as one of the most successful female artists of all time after she sold more than 100 million records. Before Wissam Al Manna, she was married twice. Her first husband was James DeBarge and the second was René Elizondo, Jr.
Her husband is said to be very supportive with Janet's pregnancy. The pair is said to have met in 2010 but they made their relationship extremely private that only a few know that they were an item until after the year that they tied the knots. The couple would regularly take exotic trips around the world although they are based in Doha, Qatar where Al Manna's a native. Because of this, reports said that Janet has to adjust to a life in her new place, after Qatar's strict restrictions on women. The report even said that she has to give up her designer clothes.
