Fans of Dark Souls 3 are probably pumped up, as Bandai Namco has released the first trailer for Dark Soul 3's first DLC, Ashes of Ariandel. The trailer focuses on a new feature coming to the game: 3 vs 3 PVP.

Polygon says that the new PVP map is called the Hollow Arena. It's a slanted map, which has a few structure for players to hide and take cover in during PVP matches. It also seems to have some costume reward, as the trailer features characters with crowns floating above their head. Players will also be able to fill their Estus Flask (thus restoring their Hit Points) more quickly before heading out to battle.

Ashes of Ariandel is set in an unnamed frozen wasteland. Players will get the chance to fight new bosses, learn new magic, and get new equipment. The new DLC is said to bring 15 weapons, four armor sets, four Sorceries, Miracles, Pyromancies, as well as two new Bosses, as reported by GearNuke.

While there isn't any news of a new installment to the series, fans will surely be eager to try out the new features the first DLC expansion pack will bring. There currently are no plans for a new installment, as Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki says that he and his team want to surpass the Dark Souls series with their next game.

Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel is the first of two DLC expansion packs coming to the game. According to GameRant, it's scheduled to be released on October 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One; the second DLC is to be released in early 2017. The DLC will cost $14.99, and will be free to those who bought Dark Soul 3's season pass for $24.99.
