"Sherlock" season four is due to air on 2017. There are rumors that Tom Hiddleston may assume the role of the third Sherlock brother.
"Sherlock" Casts Photo with Tom Hiddleston
Rumors about Hiddleston's inclusion in the upcoming "Sherlock" season four started when a photo of him and two "Sherlock" casts, Mark Gratis (Mycroft Holmes) and Amanda Abbington (Mary Morstan) were released online, according to Metro.
The photo was taken during this year's San Diego Comic Con. Gratis himself posted the photo in his Twitter account. Interestingly, the caption below the photo merely said "Blud", according to DigitalSpy.
Sherlock's Third Brother
The "Sherlock" cast gave several hints on what to expect for the fourth "Sherlock" installments. One of the words that pop up was "Sherrinford". Fans of the show know that it's the name of Sherlock's other brother in the fictional story. Mycroft did not mention his name in this "Sherlock" video clip. He simply referred to him as "the other one."
Official "Sherlock" Promo Video Trailer
"Sherlock" fans were quite excited when rumors that the "Night Manager" actor may have a part in the upcoming season. The official "Sherlock" season 4 promo video is available at the BBC website. The teaser promised an exciting upcoming season. Sherlock is confronted by the ghost of Dr. Moriarty. A new villain also emerges in the show.
Unfortunately, no image of Tom Hiddleston could be seen anywhere in the promo trailer. The upcoming fourth installment will be aired sometime next year since the BBC has not yet announced an official air date. There is also the possibility that Hiddleston will not appear in the show and this rumor has no foundation.

Benedict Cumberbatch is returning once more as Sherlock Homes. Other casts include Holmes' sidekick, Dr. John Watson (Martin Freeman), Gratis, Abbington, Professor Moriarty (Andrew Scott), Mrs. Hudson (Una Stubbs), Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves) and Molly Hooper (Louise Brealey).
