Trailer For The Justin Timberlake Concert Movie On Netflix is Out
Netflix has released the extended trailer for Jonathan Demme's concert film, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids.
The file directed by Demme of the 'The Silence of the Lambs' fame captures the behind-the-scene buzz before the final performance of Timberlake's 20/20 Experience World Tour at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and the concert itself.
The Experience World Tour spanned over two years between 2013 and 2015, with 134 shows spread across the world. The Tour was mostly praised by critics for its charm and Timberlake's performance which was described by the The New York Times' reviewer as "something more fiery and intense."
Demme is an acknowledged music freak and known to be among the world's most knowledgeable of music enthusiasts. He has earlier made films on music legends David Byrne and Neil Young, and this concert movie on Timberlake can be seen as an endorsement.
Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids premiered in the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival and a Indiewire review promises that fans will get an exciting view into the magic of Justin Timberlake, the star and the singer in this movie.
It features about half of the 30-song set list that was played at the concert, with the first half of the movie filled with his hits and the latter half with his lesser-known numbers. The show puts the viewer inside the concert, offering an experience of being on stage, behind it, above it and more.
The movie is a must for JT fans, offering a close look into the star, his music and his dancing skills.
The trailer released by Netflix shows Timberlake and his band the Tennessee Kids performing the hit, "Mirrors" with the MGM Grand Garden Arena audience singing along, and other scenes that include those showing Timberlake at his dancing best and preparing for the show.
The film will debut on Oct. 12, on Netflix. Watch the trailer here
