‘Narcos’ Season 3 Spoilers, Promo Video & Air Date: Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela Replaces Pablo Escobar On Wanted Posters
On Monday, a fresh promotional video was released on Narcos' facebook account. The video gave a chilling teaser of what fans can expect on "Narcos" Season 3. Singer Paquita la del Barrio expressed how she despised drug lords by singing explicit words to Pablo Escobar's face (or at least, to the posters) and managed to scare away other drug personalities inside the hub.
At the end of the promotional video, though, del Barrio's facial expression slightly changed when she saw the face of Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela (Damian Alcazar). Orejuela will reportedly become the central character in "Narcos" Season 3, Parent Herald reports.
Gamenguide and other websites say that Orejuela will just be one of the main characters as "Narcos" Season 3 will focus on the notorious Cali Cartel. This includes the other godfathers, namely, Miguel Rodriguez (Francisco Denis), Jose "Chepe" Santacruz-Londono and Helmer "Pancho" Herrera (Alberto Ammann).
Executive Producer Eric Newman released several points to ponder on in his interview with Vulture. He said that avid fans should expect a different angle in this story. Spoilers say that "Narcos" Season 3 won't be as violent and bloody as Pablo Escobar's adventure but the Cartel's disreputable journey will show how drug lords who are working behind the government system work.
"Narcos" Season 3 will open a hive of different discussions as it will show how the Cali Cartel was able to penetrate in several influential institutions and organizations. However, there's no statement yet how long the Cali Cartel will run in Narcos. It is a given, though, that the Cali Cartel was not able to run as long as how Pablo Escobar operated.
In the show's Facebook page, a commenter on the promotional video unknowingly helped in increasing the hype for "Narcos" Season 3 He said that actor Alcazar played a similar role in the movie "El Infierno". He said that the movie will be a great anticipation killer as the "Narcos" Season 3 is slated in 2017.
