After a long struggle, Chris Bosh is finally able to take medical exam to get his clearance to return to court. The two-time NBA champion has increased his basketball workout to join Miami Heat training camp starting Sept. 27. But Heat originally has other plan.

Miami Herald reported that Bosh is finally allowed to take physical exam for a clearance to play in the next season. Previously, Miami Heat has a different agenda for Bosh. The Heat was speculated to release him to get salary caps relief but that remains unsettled.

Miami Heat as reported by SLAM, remained mum on their plans for Bosh. They were reported to let Bosh retire or seek a way to force him to retire. However acccording to NBA league rules, only if Bosh is unable to play for one full year, NBA and players association will appoint an independent doctor to review his physical condiction. In his case, that will be February next year.

Afterward, the appointeddoctor will decide whether Bosh should end his career or not, and when that happens according to CBS Sport, his salary would come off the books. The other option is to let Bosh retire on his own will. His retirement will clear $52.1 million from his future salaries off the Miami Heat's books.

Nonetheless, as Bosh desperately wanted to return to court, he tried to find doctor that can clear him to play. The 32-year-old center has played for Miami since 2010 and successfully gave Miami Heat a back back-to-back championship in 2012 and 2013. He is the only one left of the Heat's "the Big Three" after LeBron James and Dwyane Wade departed.

In 2014, Bosh signed a five-year contract extension with Miami. But in 2015, right after the NBA All-Star Game, doctors found a blood clots in his lung and suggested him to undergo treatment. Following a successful treatment, he returned to the court, only to miss the entire season when another blood clot was found in his leg.
