Michael Schumacher Health Status News and Rumors: F1 Legend’s Son Wins Twice in a Day as the Champ’s Condition Reportedly Improving
Amid the trauma brought about by Michael Shumacher's continuing health struggle, the F1 World Champion's son, Mick Schumacher is proving that he's chip off the old block after nabbing two F4 championship wins in a single day which is reportedly boosting his father's chances of recovering soon.
The 17-year-old Shumacher's son would have made the German-born racing legend very proud if he were to witness his heir carving his own name in the world of racing. As per NDTV Sports report, Mick Shumacher brought home two wins last Saturday in the race for the German Formula 4 championship titles. With the right speed and car to drive on, Mick raced past a pile up of 11 cars in the first lap of the competition on Saturday afternoon.
He then stunned the crowd with another breathtaking performance when repeated the same win in the evening on that same day. His recent victories catapulted him behind 20-year-old Joey Mawson of Australia.
Currently, the younger Shumacher has earned three F4 victories to his name including his April win. Apart from his three German F4 titles, the young champ also posted three Italian F4 championship records out of six races this season as per Indian Express report.
Meanwhile, the seven-time Formula One champion has been confined to a wheelchair following a terrible skiing accident with his son in the Swiss Alps almost two years ago. While information surrounding his condition remains extremely scarce, former Fiat boss Luca Cordero Di Montezemolo recently shared that Shumacher's rehabilitation program is yielding positive results after signs of the champ's response to treatment according to Vine Report.
The F1 racing legend is still under an ongoing recovery process under the watchful eye of rehab experts 24/7 at his Swiss home near Lake Geneva. Michael Shumacher remained in a medically induced coma after the horrific accident in December 2013 but regained his consciousness in June the following year.
