'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast, News & Update: Two Part Film to Have Crossover with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’
For now, the talks about a possible crossover of "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" is in the works. As per previous reports, Chris Pratt of "Jurassic World 2," who also plays Star-Lord in "Guardians of Galaxy," will feature in "Infinity War." Chris Markus and Steve McFeely, writers of "Avengers: Infinity War" hint that a crossover between the two might happen. "Let me put it this way: you know who owns that gauntlet, right? You know who's in another movie and his kids are in that movie..." Marcus said in an interview when asked if the Guardians will be seen in "infinity War." "It's a big universe," McFeely added. "You do the math!" Marcus teased.
Not only will the Guardians grace the Avengers universe, but there is news that more characters will be joining the team. Reports indicated that the fans would like to see Wolverine in the upcoming movie too. Hugh Jackman is already at the end of his "Wolverine" trilogy spinoff before he finally takes a hiatus. However, if Wolverine is indeed joining the Avengers team, perhaps it would be a good idea to have a new actor play the part, especially if the character will continue in the following films.
Meanwhile, there are also rumors that the Russo brothers would like to incorporate Great Lake Avengers - Mister Immortal, Big Bertha, Doorman and Flatman, in "Infinity War." However, it is still unconfirmed if they will make that happen.
"Avengers: Infinity War" part 1 is set for May 4, 2018 premier. Meanwhile, "Avengers: Infinity War" part 2 will release on May 3, 2019.
