'The Blacklist' Season 4 Update: New Season Will Be Darker; Spinoff Has Been Planned Since First Series

The return of Liz Keen (Megan Boone) was the special highlight of "The Blacklist" Season 3, which was full of surprising twists. But currently, fans are excited about "The Blacklist" Season 4.

In 'The Blacklist' Season 3 Finale Recap, Liz was said to be alive, with the character being expected to come back in Season 4. She was told that Alexander Kirk was her father.

In Season 3, most people were surprised with Liz's death, even though many hesitated to accept it. Calling Liz back in the finale was another huge relief for fans who wanted to see Liz again.

"The Blacklist" Season 3 show indicates that the show can be enhanced, hence fans need to prepare for another tone in "The Blacklist" Season 4.

Hence, the major plot in "The Blacklist" Season 4 will become darker, and the impending season would probably continue the trend that had been set in the previous season. Meanwhile, "The Blacklist's" success will give way to a spinoff titled, called "The Blacklist: Redemption." Even as the first series presented Liz and Red's relationship, the second in the series follows Tom's (Ryang Eggold) relationship with his mother Scottie (Famke Janssen).

Ryan Eggold says that the "The Blacklist" spinoff is a rumour that has followed since the first season of the main series, but it is being chased only this time. "You know, this Tom Keen spinoff thing was a whisper I heard a long time ago. I want to say end of Season 1 or beginning of Season 2 - I mean, a long time ago," he told TV Line.
