Siri, an intelligent personal assistant, has been a useful tool for many iPhone users. It can look up information, create calendar entry, get directions, make a reservation, send a message and lots more. But for now, Siri is exclusive to iPhone only. However, recent rumors indicate that Siri may be now available on the next line of MacBook laptops too.

As per reports, MacBook Pro 2016 will be the first laptop to get Siri support. However, it has also been noted that integration of Siri into Mac is still in its early stages. But despite that, Siri will still be able to answer similar queries and perform similar tasks, the way it does for iOS devices. The users will be able to ask Siri to open apps, conduct web search, send texts, read emails, set calendar events and other such handy tasks.

The much anticipated MacBook pro will not only introduce Siri to its laptops, but rumor has it that it will also bring in iPhone's Touch ID support. This will help the Mac users to easily unlock their laptops, without keying in the password.

There is another interesting that the Apple engineers are apparently working on. Speculations suggest that they are busy designing an auto unlock function that would iPhone to unlock Mac if it is within each other's proximity. This feature will remove the need for entering password on a password-protected MacBook.

Meanwhile, it is important to note that a new update for MacBook has just been released recently. Now it waits to be seen when the new feature will be available. According to rumors, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016 are expected to launch in WWDC next month.
