‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 12, Finale Recap and News Update: ‘Family Affair’ Turns Out to be an Emotional Roller Coaster
All is well that ends well. This saying has been heard a million times but for fans of 'Grey's Anatomy,' it meant every bit true as they watched the finale.
'Family Affair' was really like a family affair with a sea of emotions marking the episode at regular junctures. As shown in the trailer, Own and Amelia's wedding was the high point but did have its share of hiccups. Amelia was upset and cried as no one from her family came to attend the wedding.
But Owen rose up to the occasion and told her that if they do not want to come, they should not. He is enough for her and same holds true for her. Nonetheless, she seemed to be developing cold feet when she stopped at a store with Meredith and Maggie for a drink. But good sense prevailed ultimately and the wedding happened as per the plan.
On the other hand, April went into labor and with only Ben by her side and rain gods proving inclement, the delivery had to be done at home. Ben was nervous as he had failed at a C-section surgery previously, but there was no option.
So, with Miranda, Arizona and Jackson on the phone, he performed the delivery without anesthesia. Later, the baby and the mom arrived at the hospital and all was well. Miranda congratulated Ben and told him that she was super proud of him.
Good news was also in store for Callie as Arizona arrived at her home with Sofia and told her that she can take their daughter along with her to New York and live with Penny. The meeting ended with a warn hug.
But Jo and Alex were sparring. He was upset as she had refused his proposal and it ended with a fight when the latter saw her in an inebriated state with Andrew on top of her. Alex beat him severely. Meredith also had sorrow in store when Maggie confused Riggs' loving glances and told her sister that she likes him.
