'Jurassic World 2' News & Update: The Sequel Will Have More Dinosaur Breeds
According to recent reports, "Jurassic World" showed how Dr. Henry Wu escaped to Costa Rica with a few embryos. From the looks of it, the sequel would feature Dr. Wu and his stolen dinosaur embryos in some capacity. "We're not always going to be the only ones who can make a dinosaur," Wong said, suggesting that he might breed more dinosaurs using technology in "Jurassic World 2."
Moreover, the movie is also expected to weaponize the velociraptors. The idea struck Vic Hoskins when he saw Own Grandy (Chris Pratt) in command of these creatures.
Furthermore, Jurassic World tackled the idea of weaponizing dinosaurs, specifically the Velociraptors. This was exactly what Vincent D'Onofrio's Hoskins wanted to do when he saw Chris Pratt's Owen commanding these vicious creatures. According to Trevorrow's statement, "I feel like the idea that this isn't always going to be limited to theme parks, and there are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment. And when you look back at nuclear power and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponize it and later on we found it could be used for energy."
"Jurassic World" was a successful film and naturally the fans have a lot of expectations from the sequel. While Colin Trevorrow is not the director for the sequel, but he and the other crew members are committed to make this one an even better commercial success.
"Jurassic World 2" will "get to be a different kind of film. I feel like the audience has given us permission, to a certain extent, to take this to the next level," Trevorrow told Entertainment Weekly. "I don't necessarily mean in scale. I feel very strongly that it's not about more dinosaurs or bigger and better dinosaurs. It's about using this as a starting point for a much larger story about our relationship with these animals, and with animals, in general, and the dynamic created by bringing them back to life."
