Periscope Latest Update News: Periscope to implement new Search and Save options

If you haven't yet discovered about the fact that Periscope is an app for Twitter by Twitter, it's too late but now you know! Periscope is an app still under a lot of development but at least they have made it completely functional even with limited features as of now. Periscope's rise to the top of the live-streaming video service is widely being seen due to its ease of use than depth of functionality. For a long time, Twitter hadn't bought Periscope to the android environment yet. What made it happen? Competition. The Twitter-owned broadcasting app is finally stepping up its feature game. On Monday they also announced that it is now actually working real-time to make sure streaming on drones should also be a reality and hence the work is under progress for the same.

With Periscope, you can sort broadcasters and broadcasts in a practically endless number of ways. It's also possible thanks to Twitter's suggested categories. The co-founder Kayvon committed to improvements where he stated "We're still scratching the surface, but this is our starting place." Periscope is changing the way it handles live stream not just in terms of searching for a live stream. Now, in a particular fashion, broadcasters have the option to retain the broadcast indefinitely or just keep it with them.

This move seems like a good one since the fact that not everyone can watch a broadcast live and there's always that video availability for everyone so that one can watch as and when possible. This happens to me on Saturdays where I always miss the Saturday's tech broadcast by Canadian hardware present Linus Sebastian. But however he is a YouTuber and hence it becomes obvious that the video availability is almost instant. Starting a video stream with the #save hashtag in the description triggers a recording and post-broadcast, it'll remain available on Periscope users' profiles and within tweets to which it was linked. You can still choose to delete live-streamed sessions or set them to disappear by default, of course, but crucially, the enhanced archival option brings Periscope to parity with competing offerings from Facebook and others.
