'The Voice' News Update: Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Set to Rock the Stage
Blake Shelton has announced and formally revealed the fact that he would be taking center stage with Gwen Stefani to perform one of the most prized duets from his not yet released album. Fans are extremely excited about this revelation and are literally counting the days leading to the next week's episode of 'The Voice'.
According to reports, the album, which will release soon is extremely special for both the singers as the lyrics of the songs have been penned by the couple. The report also suggests that the song is themed on the fact that lovers should leave the relationship if they wish to, rather than forcefully elongating or stretching the relationship.
Even before the official announcement of the album this April, there were several rumors and expectations from fans that the lovebirds would be engaged in some project together.
The collaborative project between Shelton and Stefani was confirmed a couple of days back when Stefani shared a click of the back of the album, revealing the tracks. It was also like a confirmation for the fans that they duo is coming together for the making of the album. In addition to that, Stefani also made a mention of the album in an interview recently. She spoke extremely highly about her collaborator, rendering him as a talented and amazing writer.
The duo had confirmed their relationship sometime around the month of November last year and it is then that they had started working together in a studio. Then their collaboration was for a mid-tempo country ballad which allowed Shelton to get back to his indigenous roots. Gwen was appreciated for her beautiful voice in the country song.
Shelton's album titled, 'If I'm Honest' is slated for a May 20 release.
