Artificial Intelligence has been widely debated by many. Some consider it as a threat, while others see a wealth of opportunity in this technology led intelligence. Bill Gates, cofounder of Microsoft, and also the richest man in the world, plays in Team B. He says that AI will not be a threat, but an extremely helpful tool that will help human lives.

The field of AI has been evolving at a rapid pace that has revolutionized many sectors such as healthcare, business and even the education sectors. While AI is making great advances in the technology and robotics, there are some who believe that it holds existential risks.

Bill Gates believes in the potential of AI and encourages innovators, educators and tech companies to invest more time, money and energy on the technology. Despite the looming threats of AI, Gates claimed that the risk of artificial intelligence becoming "super smart" is not something that is going to happen anytime soon, if it happens at all. He also said that Artificial Intelligence will prove very useful in the next decade or two for managing human lives.

Gates also said that you can also call artificial intelligence software as the "alter-ego software." It is going to function as a new assistant doing your non-core jobs such as replying to emails, texts and other such information that has been flooding your smartphones and computers.

"It will look at all the new information and present to you, knowing about your interests, what would be most valuable," Gates predicted. "What we're [also] seeing is, for the first time, computers can see as well as humans. If you combine that with arm-like manipulation, then they could make us far more productive."
