For now, GTA 6 is already in development stage which is a promising news for many GTA fans. However, recent rumors suggest that the game is not expected to be released for the next few years and will be further delayed due to "GTA Online."

According to news reports, Rockstar games are earning heavily from "GTA Online" that the gamers can play for free. However, through the in-game purchases, the game publisher has been able to rake in $500 million through their online game alone.

With the success of the online game, there are many gamers and industry insiders speculate that more resources are being spent on "GTA Online" from which the company is making 100% profit. It is because of this reason, "GTA 6" is not receiving the attention that it should.

The report also indicated that "GTA Online" is the reason why Rockstar is not making a DLC for "GTA 5," even though they have plenty of DLC packs for previous installments of the game. Rockstar chose a better strategy. They introduced small updates to their online game and avoided going into the detail of making a DLC that sells for nothing more than $15-20.

As per the rumors, "GTA 6" is in its early stages and there has be no information so far, leaked or otherwise. Previous reports have already confirmed that the game will remain in the United States, even though Rockstar was planning to set the game in Tokyo.

The exact location of the game is yet to be confirmed though rumors suggest Bogota and Las Vegas. For now, it is anticipated that the game will be released sometime in 2019 or 2020 along with the launch of Xbox and PlayStation Consoles.
