Microsoft All Set to Launch New Xbox Hardware at E3

According to a recent report, Microsoft blogger Brad Sams said that the the company will be releasing a new hardware for Xbox at E3 as well as a new controller.

"The company also has something else up its sleeve that I still don't have all the details on but it's a much bigger deal than an updated standard controller. While the rumors of a PS4K have been running rampant, and I don't know yet if this new device is set to take on that console, they will have another, much larger hardware related announcement, at E3 this year. I had previously heard that they were working on a new Elite console, they recently announced an Elite bundle, but I am not sure if this is an update to that product or something brand new."

In combination with other recent reports, it looks like second generation Xbox one is already in the production stage. However, it is still a mystery what the actual device would be like. Some speculate that it could Xbox One Slim or come equipped with 1 TB standard hard drive or could even include some graphical upgrades that are rumored to be borrowed from PlayStation. It is also possible that the final device be completely different.

Now speaking of the new hardware expected to be announced at E3, there are two questions surrounding the news, will it be a "coming soon" announcement or "this hardware will be launching this fall." Since all the announcements made at E3 are geared towards fall release, which corroborates with the production rumor. If Sony has a PSVR under its belt, Microsoft too needs to have a product to counter that and stay in the competition.
