LeEco Le 2, Le 2 Pro and LeMax 2 Release Date and News

LeEco's presentation in Beijing went with announcements of their new flagship devices. The Chinese firm off late has been making more noise competing in the smartphone space. Along with a new TV, LeEco also announced a new electric vehicle to rival American automotive giants Tesla with their new LeSEE electric vehicle. Their smartphone lineup is now being pumped up with the introduction of these new devices.

The Le 2, the Le 2 Pro and the LeMax 2 are the smartphones coming out to the market. The Le 2 and the Le 2 pro are very similar in terms of the specifications on paper but there are some mild differences which will also affect the pricing between the two models. The Le 2 pro has a slightly higher clock of graphic chipset running at 850Mhz compared to 780Mhz on the Le 2. Both the phones come in similar processor with three options.

The Le 2 only has 3GB of ram compared to 4GB ram on the Le 2 Pro. Both of the phones coming in a 5.5-inch LCD full-HD display. LTE Cat 6 speeds can be achieved on both the phones. Size and weight of both the phones are same with 153gms. In terms of camera the Le 2 pro has 21 MP sensor with the Le 2 coming out with 16MP sensor. All three variants will have a front-facing 8MP sensor to take your selfies or video conferencing etc. The battery for both the phones will be a 300mAh li-ion battery. The Le 2 will be priced at around 175USD and the Le 2 Pro will come out at around 235USD. All the three phones will have nano-standard dual-sim slots.

The bigger variant however being the Le Max 2 will rock a Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at 2.15ghz Kyro chip supported by Adreno 530gpu running at 625mhz. However, this phone will have either a 4GB or a 6GB DDR4 standard compared to the previous variants being DDR 3 standards. This will also have an internal storage of 64GB along with choice for 32GB also.

This phone the Le Max 2 will also have a OIS in its camera and the 21MP sensor should be more than enough to pull out decent images from your phones. Dual-Pixel Auto-focus along with 3100mAh battery should last around a day if you are a mediocre user but however it's too early to call the shots on this phone and hence the estimate should be good enough.

All three variants will be running Android's 6.0 marshmallow with their custom EUI skin v.5.8. In a first timer none of the three phones will carry a 3.5 mm audio-jack. This phone will cost around 325$ for the 4GB ram variant and 385$ for the 6GB ram variant.
