The Good Wife' Season Spoilers And News: Some New Surprises for the Show Fans in Series Finale

According to the rumors, Josh Charles is supposed to reprise his role as Will Gardner in the season finale of The Good Wife. Gossip is that he is all set to appear opposite in a newly-created flashback sequence opposite Julianne Margulies' Alicia. However, CBS has not confirmed Charles' return on the show.

As soon as The Good Wife's final season was announced in February, Charles congratulated the cast and crew on Twitter "on an amazing run," adding, "I'm proud to have been a part of it."

With news of Charles making a come back to the show, Alan Cumming, playing Eli Gold on the show, has no intention of staying on till the final season.

Cumming shared in a recent interview that he doesn't intend to stay on the show after season 6. He also added that the this was definitely his last season and even though the show is itself discontinuing, he said that "I decided it was time to go." He also added, "I wanted to leave last season, but then they said they were going to give me more to do and I'm really glad I stayed on because I think it's been a great season for Eli."

Actor reveals that the motivation behind his decision was that the creators Robert and Michelle King were quitting the series.

"For me, being in the show has always been about their writing and this great tone they have," he said, "I've kind of been in a longer gestation of mourning than other people."

The season 7 finale will air on 8 May.
