The release date of the much awaited downloadable content pack for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" titled "Blood and Wine" has reportedly been revealed to be set on June 7.
According to Playstation Lifestyle, the thought schedule was first spotted on the listing by notable Polish gaming website GRYOnline. The date is deemed to be in line with CD Projekt RED's release timeframe as they said before that they are planning to make the DLC available during the first half of 2016.
Devs said "Release date planned for early June."
A source earlier revealed, "They don't want to push things sooner because they want the Fans to miss The Witcher more and more. Development will be over around the end of April and early May, but might be pushed later for release. We gonna see gameplay movies around end of May.
"BaW will offer two standard endings and one secret ending that will be available only if you did something specific in the main story. Devs said that the map grows bigger over time and right now it's around 75% of Novigrad/Velen and by the end of development it will be even bigger," said the source.
In the event, RED's animation tech director Piotr Tomsinski organized a session discussing the dialogue system of non-linear storytelling in the base game. There was also a demonstration of the pipeline, tools, and editor used. The footage was only 8 seconds long, and it featured what could be a colorful gameplay believed to be around 20 hours when completed. An all-new in-game region of Touissant may also be introduced, which will take Gerald to a land before the times of war, where the atmosphere of carefree indulgence and traditional knightly rituals may actually be masking an ancient bloody secret, reported the Vine Report.
Apart from new characters, locations, and plot, "Blood and Wine" will also have new music. Fans will be excited for the upcoming gaming adventure.
