Debby Ryan News: Disney Star Arrested For Drunk Driving
The 22-year-old Disney star, Debby Ryan, was arrested for drunk driving.
The "Jessie" star reportedly crashed her 2016 Audi into a Mercedes. She was taken into charge, and got released on a bail totalling a staggering $100,000.
As the Mercedes driver said that he was injured, Ryan was arrested for the felony DUI after she gave a field sobriety test, clarifies the Law Enforcement. If there is a reported injury during a DUI, the law would arrest the person involved. However, as she blew a .11 and got subjected to a minor injury, the charge got reduced to a "misdemeanor."
She faces a couple of criminal offenses---firstly for driving when drunk and secondly for her alcohol level crossing the legal limit of .08.
A month ago, Ryan had talked about being a role model to the younger generation at Nickelodeon's Kid Choice Awards.
"I feel like it's so easy for us as women to be inspired by men and try to do it like them," she explained at the time. "But there are so many female role models that are younger than me, or my age, that I'm around that are so talented and kicking butt."
As for her role models, she said, "I think it's mostly just people who try the best that they can. I think we're all at different levels in our lives and something that I'm able to do and having always been able to do...been able to find inspiration and beauty, and literally, anyone, everyone has something that they're good at so the people I mentor, I learn a lot from and I grow a lot from."
Ryan had been an actress on the Disney series "The Suite Life On Deck," following the hit series "The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody," from 2009 to 2011. She had starred in the Disney Channel movie "16 Wishes," and then became the star of her Disney series "Jessie," which ran until 2015.
