Fast And Furious 8 News And Updates: Scott Eastwood Confirmed To Be In Next Installment
It's official. Thirty-year-old actor Scott Eastwood is now onboard for the 8th installment of the Fast and Furious movie franchise alongside Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron and Kurt Russell.
"It's hard to put into words how excited I am for the next 'Fast & Furious'. To me, the series is so much more than just a franchise. It's a legacy. These great actors who have been in it together for so long have become a family. I absolutely can't wait to join it," remarked the 'Suicide Squad' actor in his Instagram post as quoted by Business Standard.
Scott, son of Western film icon Clint Eastwood, is reportedly close to deceased Fast and Furious star Paul Walker (Brian O'Connor) who met his untimely death in a car accident three years ago. His death was big loss considering that he died while the Fast and Furious 7 was still underway.
"Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me," Eastwood added as reported by Daily Mail.
Despite Paul Walker's unexpected exit from the movie, the Fast and Furious franchise appeared to have been extremely adept at revising its story line as it deals with unforeseen circumstances. Newcomers have fitted well in the story as the previous installments have shown.
Moviegoers and fans expect nothing less in the forthcoming Fast 8 movie with new juicy add-ons to the exhilarating franchise engine such as Mad Max: Fury Road heroine Charlize Theron and plus the reprising roles of Fast 7 add-ons like Tyrese Gibson, former WWE superstar Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, and Transporter actor Jason Statham as reported by Deadline.
