Eminem News: ‘Not Afraid’ Cover By 12-Year-Old With Rare Condition Goes Viral

Eminem news and rumors have been mostly about his new album. Though details of a 2016 album aren't confirmed, what we do have is a unique cover that's going viral of the rappers "Not Afraid."

This isn't like any other cover. Eminem's classic was performed by a 12-year old, Sparsh Shah, that has a rare genetic condition, called osteogenesis imperfecta, that caused him to have 125 bone fractures.

Despite all the possible setbacks, Shah continues to be an inspiration, especially through his passion for music. Shah wrote 12 original songs, but it is his clean cover of Eminem's "Not Afraid" that is going viral, reaching over 2 million views.

He writes on his website, "When I was 11, without a doubt I knew I wanted to be a Musician. Every day, I wake up with a bursting excitement to learn more about audio engineering, helping my father Sanjay Shah with his production team, & teaching kids piano. Every bit of Information I have gathered, learned and understood, I'd love to give back to people that are inspired and involved in music. So this is where everything will be showcased and hopefully inspire more people to continue their journey of music."

Besides making encouraging music, Shah, an honors student, is currently an ambassador for St. Jude's hospital.

In an interview with NBC New York, the inspirational 12-year-old said, "If I can inspire one person to change his or her life just because of me, it seems so humbling when I think about, that's enough purpose in my life to keep me going."

When asked about if Eminem reached out to him, he didn't hesitate to hold his excitement just thinking about it.

"If we could perform a duet together, that would be the best thing ever," he said.

Rumors continue to spread that the rapper, who performed to 80,000 fans last month in Argentina, will have a new album released this year. Though there hasn't been an official announcement, according to Morning Ledger, it was hinted that 50 Cent will collaborate with Em on this next album.
