Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date, News and Rumors: Samsung Phablet to be Waterproof
Samsung is known for innovation and exciting launches every year which makes them the number one brand in the smartphone industry. However, now with the news of a phablet doing rounds, rumors of Galaxy Note 6 are already doing rounds. So what does this one bring to the table?
Samsung is rumored to launch a new phablet in second half of this year. Based on this speculation, it is safe to assume that a Galaxy Note 6 may be in the offing. But in terms of innovation, this one will be waterproof.
The latest Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are both built with waterproof technology and it is only prudent for next in the line to follow suit.
A reliable Samsung fan site has received information from an insider spource that the new Galaxy Note 6 will have an IP68 rated design, meaning that it can be left under one and half meters of water for thirty minutes without causing any harm to the phone.
Another site notes that the company has recently imported "iris camera" module for research and development in India. The listing doesn't show what the tech will do but it looks like an eye-scanning technology. So does that mean your new Galaxy Note 6 might scan your eyes? Perhaps the company is adding an extra layer of security by allowing the users to unlock their phones with the eye scanner. However, this is just a speculation and no official word is out about the eye-scanning feature on the rumored Galaxy Note 6.
As far as the specs are concerned, the new phablet may feature a 5.8-inch display, 6GB RAM and a latest Android 7.0 N software.
