Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date, News and Rumors: Smartphone To Be Released Earlier Than Expected
When South Korean electronics giant released Galaxy S7, it became hugely successful and one of the reasons noted for its market success was its release. By doing so, Samsung managed to position itself as a benchmarker for all other smartphone devices out there.
These days, tech observers think that Samsung may also pulling off a similar strategy to gain the upper hand with its forthcoming and highly anticipated 'phablet', the Galaxy Note 6.
"We expect Samsung to release the Note 6 a month or two before the Apple iPhone 7, to try and grab that window of opportunity," remarked Strategy Analytics exec Neil Mawstonof who added that the Galaxy S7 will may still hold the record of being "the world's best-selling Android smartphone in 2016" as quoted by Techno Buffalo.
When the S7 entered the competitive high-end smartphone market on March 11th, the new flagship reportedly shipped about 10 million units- a threefold sales increase figures its predecessor made last year nearly the same amount of time since the product release.
The wisdom of releasing the S7 earlier than what Samsung's rivals expected allowed the company to take advantage of the time for promoting its flagship device in full throttle at a time when most people tirelessly wait for the next-big-thing to hit the market.
"With the high-end smartphone market largely stagnated, the issue is no longer about what 'Wow' features the new phone has," observed Daishin Securities analyst Claire Kim as quoted by Tech Times. She further noted, "Rather, it's about who can bring out the phone quicker."
Meanwhile, business publication Bell reportedly stated that Samsung's other much-awaited device, Galaxy Note 6, will probably hit the market this summer purportedly on Google's upcoming Android 'N'. According to a report by International Business Times, the new 'phablet' of the Note series is armed with Quad HD display, Snapdragon's 820 microchip, 12MP rear camera, a generous 6GB RAM, and storage base offering of either 64GB or 128GB.
With Samsung's keen desire to outdo its American rival, Apple, the Cupertino-based giant is in a dire pressure to offer a more impressive and, perhaps, even more extraordinary 'alternative' to the South Korean smartphone lineup.
