YouTube For Apple TV Gets A Complete Refresh, Videos Can Now Run With Ads

If someone is serious about Apple TV more than Apple itself, it's YouTube. The world's biggest video service has refreshed its app for Apple' TV streaming box. The update includes a refreshed user interface and ad support for videos. 

The update on Apple TV means the YouTube app will look similar on Xbox and other devices. 

The support for ads means the users will now have access to the full library of contents. 

Apple TV is also getting a handful of new apps and channels such as Fusion which is making  a big push offer "a unique mix of smart and irreverent original reporting, lifestyle and comedic content." 

Conde Nast is offering "The Scene" which looks like it will be an aggregate channel for their properties. UFC is also bringing their subscription service to Apple TV. French YouTube competitor, Dailymotion has also been added. 

Apple TV is one of the world's best selling boxes of its kind. Researchers estimate that sales of such streaming media devices would top 57 million worldwide in 2018, tripling from 20 million last year.

YouTube gets more than a billion unique visitors that watch more than 6 billion hours of video and apps on streaming devices such as Apple TV only help surge the usage and popularity.
