If rumors are to be believed, there is some bad news for the fans who have been awaiting to get the latest word on "Pokémon Z" release date. However, the word on the rumor street is that the "Pokémon Z" might get axed.

Ever since "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" came out in 2013, "Pokémon Z's" release has been a topic of discussion among the fans. Previous rumors indicated that the company had plans to launch the title in February this year. However, the game published moved on to a new plan and scrapped "Pokémon Z." Apparently even its development has been cancelled by the company. This will help Pokémon Company and Nintendo to pave the way for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" release.

The title was expected to be introduced during Nintendo's Direct event. However, the fans were surprised and visibly blown away as the company announced these new titles instead. As a result, it seems that "Pokémon Z" will not see the light of day.

Reports even suggest that the company and Nintendo has no plans of ever launching "Pokémon Z" as there are already too many titles in the pipeline, waiting to be released. However, it is important to note that these are only speculations and the fans should wait for an official announcement from the game publisher.

The good news is that the fans can look forward to another highly anticipated title this year, "Pokémon Go," an augmented reality game for iOS and Android device. It is scheduled to be released sometime this year and the beta test is already out in Japan. Only a selected Japanese gamers were given the privilege to test the beta version conducted by Niantic Labs.
