Asus Zenfone Go LTE: Specs, Release Date, Features and Price
Asus launched the 4G variant of its Zenfone Go LTE phone in India. Priced at Rs 7,999, the device is similar to the older variant and includes 4G support.
It is available at Amazon India and Snapdeal. The phone comes with a dual-sim slot and weighs about 135grams. It has an IPS panel LCD with a HD display and a pixel density of 294.
In terms of platform, it's running the previous Android Lollipop 5.1 although we're not sure if it's got an update to Marshmallow or not considering its price point bracket. It's powered by a quad-core 1.3ghz Mediatek MT6580 processor chipset with a Mali-400MP2 GPU. A dedicated slot of up to 64GB of external storage, the internal memory comes in either 8GB or 16GB and 2GB ram powers the phone.
The Camera comes with 8MP rear camera sensor capable of shooting at f/2.0 useful for shooting in low-light atmosphere. It also has LED flash and autofocus for the rear camera. The front camera is 2MP. Video recording is possible in full-HD resolution at 30 frames per second. Wi-Fi bands 802.11 b/g/n are present and no AC band present with possible hotspot connectivity.
It also has Bluetooth v4.0 present along with GPS and charged by a microUSB v2.0 port. There is no NFC and the presence of FM Radio is not confirmed.
There is accelerometer, proximity compass present and it has a battery capacity of 2070mah lithium-pro removable battery. There are three colors available with Black, White and red to choose from. The sales might be arguably good since a price point of 8,000 rupees can for sure attract consumers looking for a budget smartphone to experience the mighty world of Android.
However, security concerns are main threats to non-nexus Android devices since totally nil or lack of security updates can worry a user due to varied and frequent attacks on Android devices.
