Sony’s Spiderman News Update: Reboot Title Revealed, Supposedly!

If you have been wondering about Sony's title of Spiderman reboot, then here is the answer.

As per reports, Sony recently got an URL registered which reads SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com. On visiting, it redirects to SonyPictures.com which has given rise to strong rumors that this is the name of the movie, which the studio intends to release next year. So, the title might be Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Though this is a speculation, there are plenty of reasons to back it. The first among them being, the similarity with the title of a story arc that belongs to the comics from the 80s and featured superheroes like Thor, Hawkeye, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark and Black cat. If it is true, Captain America and Iron Man will fight alongside Spidey, which is what the other rumors suggest, as well.

The second is the appropriateness of the title homecoming, a smart way to indicate that Spider-Man still belongs to the MCU. But it is also being said that the title could belong to the animated movie being made by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Some are of the opinion that Sony wants to reserve the title while they weigh the different names and it could belong to either of the films.

Meanwhile, the new Spider-Man titled Captain America: Civil War will release next week where Tom Holland is playing the character of Spiderman. He will be seen along with the rest of the MCU that comprises Iron Man, Black Witch, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Black Panther and more.

Notably, Marvel and Sony both have tried their best to keep any information regarding their next year release, from getting leaked. Interestingly, they did not know that one of them will give it away unwittingly. As of now, neither of them has confirmed or denied this news.
