Rolling Stones News Update: Next Album in Progress as Team Records Songs in Studio
The renowned English rock band, Rolling Stones is working on their next album and thus, the much-awaited sequel to A Bigger Bang, finally draws near.
Great news for the fans and lovers of the legends, the follow-up to the 2005 album has been in the news for some time as it has been more than ten years since the band came up with a musical. But after 10 years, the wait of the fans seems to be getting over.
Ronnie Wood, the band's guitarist has confirmed about the work-in-progress. According to sources, he said that they cut some new songs in the studio. He also stated that they got on a Blues streak and have created amazing cover versions of Howlin' Wolf and Little Walter. The authentic compositions also include other Blues people.
Wood also shed light on the release of the upcoming album at the group's "Exhibitionism" exhibit at London's Saatchi Gallery, saying that it would most probably arrive in 2016. However, nothing official has been confirmed by the other members who were also present at the exhibition. It was attended by Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts and Keith Richards.
Although Richards admitted to the arrival of the new album, but did not elaborate much, saying that he cannot reveal more. He was not forthcoming and did not tell anything about the time frame, but affirmed the work-in-progress. He said that the group was in London last week and after the chat they accepted it was high time they made it to the studio. But the "when" aspect was still not sorted.
Notably, Ronnie had expressed hope in a Rolling Stone interview in October about the team coming together in the studio for recording. It immediately followed Richard's solo Crosseyed Heart.
