The new update comes packed with several multimedia options. The new features include ability to send stickers, leave an audio or video note and directly upload media from your camera roll.

According to Snapchat, the objective of its latest chat feature is to "emulate the best parts of face-to-face conversation." As per news reports, the messaging app is already equipped with basic video calling version that has been combined into its chat feature.

The new Chat 2.0 version is reinforcing the belief that it is indeed "best way to communicate - second only to hanging out face-to-face." Users now also have the option to swipe right on a friend to access the video icon or chat option, and initiating a video call. Users can also record a short video of up to 10 seconds with an inclusion of an audio note. The phone icon also gives the user an ability to make an audio call or send a short voice note.

If you don't feel like talking to a friend, use one of the many stickers to respond and still convey the message. The best thing about this upgrade is the app's new ability to be versatile, allowing users to switch between audio and video call seamlessly.

With the new update, users will also be introduced to this new feature called "Auto-Advance Stories" where the user can simply pull down to exit the chat or swipe to skip ahead. You can also start a new story automatically after the completion of your last one. Snapchat says that the users will be able to alternate between texting, watching, listening and speaking, which is akin to human interactions. "On Snapchat, you choose when and how to express yourself and to whom."

Both android and iOS users can download the new Chat 2.0.
