Samsung Galaxy J7, Galaxy J5 Release Date, Specs, Features and Price
Samsung have announced two new smartphones for the Chinese smartphone market. Both the devices are supposed to be arriving into the market in April.
The J7 2016 variant is slightly bigger than the next device, the J5 2016 with the J7 2016 coming out with a 5.5 inches display and the J5 2016 being 5.2 inches. In terms of display resolutions, the J7 comes out with a full HD 401ppi and the J5 with a HD 282 ppi. Both of the screens are Samsung's proprietary Super AMOLED displays.
Both of the devices are unfortunately running Lollipop OS v5.1 The lower end variant the J5 is equipped by a Snapdragon 410 quad-core 1.2ghz processor with the better edition coming out with an Octa-core 1.6ghz processor. Both of the phones are housing expandable storage of about up to 128GB with internal 16GB in both the editions and surprisingly 2GB RAM.
There are no changes in terms of camera with both the phones having a Rear 13MP camera with a front-facing 5MP equipped with an LED flash in both phones. Both the cameras are also capable of shooting full HD videos at 30 frames per second. NFC is present in both of them with Bluetooth v4.1 along with micro-USB v2.0 connections for data transfer and charging the devices.
The J7 2016 comes with a larger 3300 mah li-ion removable battery and the J5 with 3100mah removable li-ion batteries again. A rarity for a phone in 2016. Both the phones are available in four colors with black, gold, rose gold and white. In terms of Sim capacities, it's either a single micro sim or a single microfilm with an additional dual-standby slot. However, since it's 2016 a better upgrade in operating system from lollipop would be better.
But I guess, there has to be an update on the way maybe in October or December since Samsung have always been pretty late in patching up updates to their phones except their flagships even them, receiving their deserved updates pretty late compared to their competitors.
Overall, the price point are yet to be determined but it should be priced pretty lower than any other consumer-end smartphone since these are intended for budget-friendly consumer smartphone market. Overall in terms of specifications, it looks like a decent phone except operating system of course but it all depends on how it performs in benchmarks, performances and of course battery optimization etc.
