New England Patriots' Rob Gronkowski has proven that he is one of the best tight ends in the game. During Sunday night's game against the San Diego Chargers, Gronkowski connected with quarterback, Tom Brady for their 10th touchdown this season.

By making the 14-yard reception, Gronkowski, 25, set a new record and became the first tight end to record at least 10 touchdowns per season for four separate seasons. Gronkowski was not able to catch 10 touchdowns or more during the 2013 season due to an injury that sidelined him after seven games.

ESPN Stats & Info tweeted: "Rob Gronkowski: 10th Rec TD of season, tied for 3rd-most in NFL. Only Julius Thomas (12) has more TD among TE this season."

With three games left in the season, Gronkowski could end the second with his second-highest touchdown total of his entire career. In 2011, he caught a total of 17 touchdowns. In his rookie season of 2010 and in 2012, Gronkowski recorded 10 and 11 touchdown passes, respectively.

Gronkowski's fellow teammate, Julian Edelman talked about playing with Gronkowski. He said, according to WEEI 93.7 FM, "Gronk is a man-child. Playing with a guy like him is truly fun because he goes out there and plays the game the way it is supposed to be played. Whether he is getting the ball or blocking, he is a true team player. He comes in and practices hard. He is a goofball, but he's a gentle giant to us. It's unbelievable watching that man play. I'm glad we have him on our team."

Gronkowski's career statistics are quite impressive with 299 receptions for 4,252 yards and 53 touchdowns in 63 career games.
