Agents of Shield Season 2 Winter Finale: Skye and her father meet [VIDEO]; It's possible there will be no more Bus
You can say whatever you want about Grant Ward, but he does tell the truth and he keeps his promises. Of course, he kidnapped someone to keep that promise but still - the promise was kept. As you can see below, Skye will finally get the chance to meet her father.
Per the promo for the winter finale, the conversation between Skye and her father won't be an adorable father/daughter reunion. The video below shows she still sees him as the one thing he did not want his daughter to see him as - a monster.
While Skye has to worry about her father next episode, the rest of the team should be concerned with The Bus' safety. At the end of last week's episode, Dr. Whitehall gave the order to shoot down the team's beloved aircraft. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Executive Producer Maurissa Tanchoreon says it's possible the show's writers have thought about a scenario in which S.H.I.E.L.D. would be left with "only quintjets." She also said the team is in "grave danger."
That "danger" could arise from the team's showdown with Hydra in the mysterious city. Tanchoreon and fellow EP Jed Whedon tell TVLine, "S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA converge on the alien city they've been racing towards, in a desperate fight to gain control of the obelisk."
They add, per the website, "In the end, our team -- and our show -- will be changed forever."
It's possible the most interesting information we get in the winter finale isn't about the alien city but about Skye, her father and Raina. In the promo we see Raina tell Skye, "We finally get to find out what we become." What will they become? The writers have been teasing us when it comes to Skye and her true origins. Let's hope the finale brings alongs some solid answers.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
