iPhone SE Rumors, Price, Specs And Updates: Some Features You Need To Know Of The Newly-Launched SE
Ahead of the traditional March 21 'Loop You In' Cupertino event, Apple's detractors had widely complained of a largely boring event. Despite the lack of any 'next-big-thing' launches, the tech giant's latest product releases this month does have an insightful rationale behind as in the case of the new iPhone SE.
The special edition palm-sized iPhone evidently proves Apple's powerful tagline when it launched the iPhone 6 series last fall that 'nothing has changed but everything'. The 4-inch phone appears to have inherited many of the 5s features but for a smaller size and lesser price. In addition, the iPhone also seems to have an array of features seen in iPhone 6 with only subtle minor differences but at a more affordable cost as reported by Apple Insider.
Before condemning iPhone SE as Apple's major product release blunder, let's go over some few quick thoughts and understand why many of its hostile critics are just plain wrong.
To begin with, the decision behind the release was to target a large consumer base of smartphone users who do not have the fondness for large screen-sized handsets. According to Independent, Apple sold about 30 million 4-inch models although the company has been focusing its energy on its recent big-screened handset models, namely, the iPhone 6 and its variants. So size does matter as large chunk of smartphone-crazed people don't like phablet-sized handsets with them.
iPhone SE's Highlight Features
Despite its compact size, the display and features are impressively stunning. This slight deviation from Apple's current lineup could potentially grab a major steal from mid-range Android devices out there.
As reported by tech blog BGR, the special edition mobile handset contains the same internal components of the 6S models including processors, chipsets, and of course camera. Undeniably, Apple just engineered a technology superb iOS with a surrounding app ecosystem coupled with better third-party apps compared to its Android counterpart. All of these features are up for users to experience for just $399 (average market price).
Meanwhile, the SE model missed out on two of iPhone 6's settings which is fairly understandable as these features only work for phablets as reported by USA Today. According to the report, SE lacks 'reachability' and the 'display zoom' settings.
