LA Lakers Rumors: Team Reported To Junk Jordan Clarkson For Other NBA Superstars
At this point in his career, Jordan Clarkson is now on his path to becoming an NBA superstar in his own right. But unconfirmed reports of Lakers fishing for other prized talents in the league may push Clarkson to search for other places where he could build his reputation.
According to a report by Sports Rageous, there has been an ongoing speculation that the Gold and Purple team may re-assemble its current roster of players which would include Kevin Durant, DeMar DeRozan and Hassan Whiteside.
The three all have something to offer with a string of accomplishments to their name. For now, it can be safely argued that they may leave their current teams and head for the west coast franchise known for having a high salary cap. With a pot of gold waiting, the rumor is not at all far-fetched.
However, Morning News USA reported that Lakers would rather choose to keep Clarkson instead of getting into a free agency drama that involves intense matching offers- some of which approaches to border max figures.
Meanwhile, amid the current frenzy over rumored trades ahead of the free agent season, Jordan Clarkson and Nick Young are currently being accused for sexual harassment, coincidentally, by an anti-sexual harassment activist Alexis Jones as reported by the Inquistr.
"She was super rattled. That's the truth. It scared her. We were in a small car, and they were in a big Jeep, and it was a bunch of big dudes. They're leaning out of the car and making vulgar, sexual gestures. My mom was really shocked. That immediately turned into sobbing," Jones recalled the incident at an intersection while inside the car with her mother as quoted by ESPN.
Nick Young refuted the allegation and accused Ms. Jones in his now-deleted twitter statement that the activist was probably just doing to get her name on public spotlight. Clarkson, on the other hand, is yet to make a statement over the issue. For both players, these days are indeed trying times leading up to the free agent season.
In response to the issue, the LA Lakers management is now investigating the reported harassment incident and issued an apology to Jones and her 68-year-old mother.
