Carpool Karaoke List: Corden Wants Beyonce and a Few More Bigwigs
James Corden is still not done with his Carpool Karaoke list. He wants superstar Beyonce and some more A-listers to join the singing sessions in his car, as his show continues to make waves with its unique karaoke segment.
Looks like "The Late Late Show" host is not content with stalwarts like Adele, Bieber, Elton John, Mariah Carey, Iggy Azalea, Stevie Wonder, Sia and the 1D boys who have made his singing-series videos, a sensation on the internet. Altogether, they have hit 400 million views on YouTube.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Corden said that he would love to cruise around the streets of LA with Beyonce, Prince and Bruno Mars. Sam Smith, the Oscar-winning British singer, is also on the top of his bucket list and the CBS host has indicated towards having made some headway in this direction. He was reported as saying that he feels he has got some really good harmonies worked out for Sam's songs.
It is notable that Corden's Carpool Karaoke has become the talk of the town, ever since it made debut in March, 2015. The funny duet sketch which started off with Mariah Carey, as the two sang some familiar songs in a car, took everyone by surprise and prompted many celebrities to become a part of the experiment. Till now, many well-known singers have sung with Corden, making his show even more popular.
"The Late Late Show" host has clearly said that it would not have been possible had it not been for Mariah. She was the first to give her consent to the "weird ask"- as Corden likes to address it and then it became a cakewalk to convince the A-list guests.
On the coming Tuesday, March 29, viewers will see Jennifer Lopez featuring in the show as it is brought to primetime TV as per reports. It will also mark the first anniversary of Corden as the host of the show.
