Kevin Durant showed up in Boston on Wednesday raising speculations of trade with the Celtics. As summer approaches with Durant becoming a free agency, Oklahoma City Thunder star player is rumored to have inked a deal with the Celtics.

Currently, the Celtics are on the rise with a 39-28 record which might put the franchise in a position to make an ace player like Durant to think and consider.

"I like the city a lot. It's cold but they love sports here. It's a family atmosphere I feel when I walk around the city. So yeah, I like it a lot," said Durant when pressed by reporters whether Boston feels like home as quoted by CBS Sports.

Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge had made a number of public statements with references to his desire of drafting and poaching skilled and talented players like Durant. For nearly a decade, Ainge has been eyeing to paint Durant green to no avail.

The question that looms on everyone's mind is whether Celtics interesting enough to make Durant give in to their sales pitch.

However, as reported by ESPN, Boston would have to double its current efforts to improve its current Eastern Conference standing and develop its young pool of talents to make top league players even notice.

Currently, Durant is on the right path of forging a more impressive career status which would guarantee him a rightful place among the immortals in the basketball Hall of Fame. As reported by Fansided, the top-tier player's NBA MVP award, Finals appearance, and four scoring titles makes him a rightful of recipient of competing offers clamoring for his valuable service.

In a report by The Inquistr, Durant's name has been linked to a possible hookup with other franchises such as the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and LA Lakers. But as some analysts put it, there will always be plenty of reasons for Durant to stay hitched with the Thunder, one of Western Conference's top contenders.
