The Suits' Season 6 News, Update and Rumors: New Season to Pick Up Where It Left Off
Suits season 6 will continue right after edge-of-the-seat finale of previous season. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see what will happen to Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, after he acknowledges to his crime causing his incarceration. It is interesting to see that he chose to admit to his crimes rather than let Harvey Specter and the company take a fall.
Aaron Korsh, producer of the show said in an interview that next season's first episode is all about Mike being put in a jail, including his first night being imprisoned and the company's situation meanwhile. Patrick J. Adams also confirmed that season 6 will largely focus on Mike's life after being put behind the bars.
The fans can rejoice in the fact that the next season will pick up exactly from where it left off. This means that the series will expand on what happens to Mike after he pleads guilty to the charges he has been accused of. In the last season's finale, Harvey dropped Mike off to the jail's entrance gate.
Aaron Korsh drops further hints saying that it is possible for Mike to act as Pearson Specter Litt's investigator while doing his time in the prison. However, that is only possible if there is a law that permits a lawyer to practice his profession while in imprisonment.
When asked about Mike's future, Korsh says, "I have no idea. But I imagine he's going to have to learn to find his way in prison."
Another teaser suggests that Mike and Rachel may be seen together in the upcoming season but a chance for the romance to rekindle look rather bleak.
The premier date of the season's first episode is yet to be announced.
