If rumors are to be believed, Lucy Hale of "Pretty Little Liars" fame may take on the role of Leila Williams in the next franchise of the movie. This character will reportedly play an instrumental role in Christian and Anastasia's relationship. Expect to see some trouble in the couple's paradise caused by Grey's ex-submissive. Rumors about the role of Williams has been doing the rounds. Another contender for the role is Katie Cassidy from TV series, "Arrow."

Charlize Theron is rumored to take on the role of Elena Lincoln, the woman who introduced Christian to the world of BDSM and its subsequent addiction. According to the book, Grey was seduced by Elena at the tender age of 15. She is expected to be back to rock Anastasia and Christian's relationship.

Meanwhile, the production team has already roped in James Foley as the movie's director after Sam Taylor-Johnson, director of "Fifty Shades of Grey" refused to continue with the second installment of the film. She turned down the project revealing her experience as an "incredibly painful process" working with E.L. James.

However, a recent report from Melty suggested that writers and producers working on "Fifty Shades Darker" are confident about having Foley on the team. Dana Brunetti, film's producer, has revealed that they are buoyant about Foley and his vision for the subsequent films. "James' thoughts on the first movie and where he saw the continuation going really blew us away," she said in an interview.

All the fans waiting impatiently for the next installment of "Fifty Shades of Grey" will have to wait until February 2017, the date when the movie is expected to release.
