MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Rumors and News Update: New Model Slated To Be Released On March 21

The anticipated unveiling of Apple's next generation of MacBook Pro is fast approaching with the official release purportedly scheduled in the upcoming Apple event on March 21. Despite the tech giant's best efforts to remain silent on MacBook's details, the device remains a highly discussed item that invites a wide array of speculative reports and rumors.

But the advent of MacBook Pro 2016 this month is already highly expected. A report by Yibada stated that the Cupertino-based company have already sent invites to media outfits to cover the important announcement on new product releases such its famed powerful laptops. Traditionally, Apple's lines of laptops are usually launched around this time of the year.

The 12-inch new MacBook is reportedly equipped with a number of impressive specs such as a redesigned sleek interior features, powerful Intel computer processors, sixth gen chipsets, and Skylake architecture according to a report by Christian Today.

Breathe Cast also mentioned a 13-inch variant with retina display. Furthermore, the new flagship laptop device comes with 2.7 to 2.9 GHz dual-core Intel core i5 processor and storage offering options such as 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB.

In another development, some tech observers have been discussing about an emerging ultra-fast memory technology called Optane that could possibly boost MacBook's storage a thousand times faster compared to the conventional 3D xpoint-based flash storages used in most laptop devices today. According to Parent Herald, should Apple decides to adopt the new technology, the transition would not pose difficult challenges as Optane is highly compatible with MacBook's NVMe (Non-volatile Memory Express).

Another source reported that new model also boosts of a 16GB 1600MHz memory, Turbo Boost of up to 3.4GHz, a built-in battery of up to nine hours, and a Force Touch trackpad that makes it ideal for hardcore application.

The 256GB model is also rumored to feature an Intel Iris Pro Graphics while the 512GB variant includes AMD Radeo R9 M370X with 2GB GDDR5 memory.
